Private Kindergarten - 5 year olds

Children Must Be 5 Years Old by September 1st.

Our kindergarten program is aligned with the Illinois State Board of Education standards and is offered in both full- and part-time formats. All meals are provided, including breakfast, lunch, and two nutritious snacks each day.

Our program is designed to prepare children for a smooth and confident transition into elementary school. Small class sizes allow for individualized attention, helping each child develop strong academic and social skills at their own pace.

The curriculum includes phonics, early reading, and mathematics, with teachers consistently reinforcing both academic readiness and positive social development. Monthly field trips, along with special musical and artistic performances, are an important part of our kindergarten experience.

Daily Schedule

Program Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m

Morning Arrival (Child’s Choice & Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.)

As children arrive, they are welcomed into the classroom and may choose from a variety of learning centers and hands-on activities. This time supports independence, social interaction, and a smooth transition into the school day.

Breakfast is served at 8:30 a.m.

Kindergarten Instruction (9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)

The kindergarten day begins with circle time, helping children transition into structured learning routines. Instruction includes theme-based, age-appropriate units in science, social studies, and early academics.

Core learning skills such as phonics, early reading, and mathematics are reinforced daily. Time is also dedicated to artistic and imaginative development through art, music, singing, and story time. Outdoor play is included each day to support physical development and social interaction.

Lunch & Quiet Time (12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

By midday, children are ready for lunch and rest. Nutritious, balanced meals are provided daily.

Quiet time allows children to relax and recharge through rest, quiet activities, or independent play. When weather permits, children may enjoy additional outdoor recess before quiet time.

Afternoon Enrichment & Parent Pick-Up (3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

The afternoon begins with a healthy snack and activities designed to reinforce the morning’s learning. Children participate in dramatic play, music, movement, and story time before transitioning into free play and social interaction.

This flexible portion of the day allows children to unwind, connect with peers, and end the day in a calm, supportive environment before parent pick-up.
